Report: Mike Vick wants to get a dog

About 18 months after his release from federal prison on a dogfighting conviction, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick said Wednesday that he wants to own a dog again someday, according to an interview on TheGrio.com.

"I would love to get another dog in the future. I think it would be a big step for me in the rehabilitation process," Vick said.

The federal judge who sentenced him to 23 months in federal prison also banned Vick from ever owning another dog.

"I think just to have a pet in my household and to show people that I genuinely care, and my love and my passion for animals; I think it would be outstanding. If I ever have the opportunity again I will never take it for granted. I miss having a dog right now. I wish I could. My daughters miss having one, and that’s the hardest thing; telling them that we can’t have one because of my actions."

Vick, who is enjoying a resurgence this season for the 9-4 Eagles, said the entire experience made him a better player and person.

"This entire situation has changed my life dramatically. Better player, better person. More patience, more persistence, and the willingness to, like I said earlier, set high goals and high standards not only on the football field but in life. And in so many ways I thank God for changing my life and keeping me healthy and putting me on the path to where I can redeem myself and make a great comeback."

A federal grand jury today indicted former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, his father and three former top aides

DEAR KWAME: Thanks for giving other people the continual idea that Black People are not to be trusted in office. You, along with Marion

Finally…. Justice is starting to be served here in Detroit.

There is news of it from all over the place in Detroit.

A federal grand jury today indicted former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, his father and three former top aides on racketeering charges, accusing them of turning the mayor’s office into a criminal enterprise to enrich themselves, families and friends.

Besides the now-jailed former mayor, the 38-count indictment names his father, Bernard Kilpatrick, city contractor Bobby Ferguson, former top Kilpatrick aide Derrick Miller and former water department chief Victor Mercado in one of the largest public corruption investigations ever in the City of Detroit.

The indictment outlined four general areas of misconduct.

It said the defendants extorted money from municipal contractors, state and non-profit donors and engaged in bribery and extortion involving other public contracts and investments.

The indictment said that Ferguson kicked back at least $424,000 in cash and other items of value to the mayor and that Kilpatrick used more than $590,000 in cash derived from the conspiracy to pay his credit card bills, purchase cashier’s checks and clothing and repay loans.

Bernard Kilpatrick, the indictment said, deposited more than $600,000 in cash into his personal bank accounts. He was charged with three counts of filing false tax returns for calendar years 2004, 21005 and 2007.

The penalties for the charges laid out in the indictment range from three to 30 year in prison.

Gunman fires at Fla. school board, kills self

What bothers me is not waht happened, a disgruntled man mad about his wife being fired, NO. What bothers me is the obsession the media has with this story and the fact that media has been so VOCAL about violence on TV but yet, it was cool to put this video on repeat all day.

Gunman fires at Fla. school board, kills self

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — A 56-year-old ex-convict calmly held a school board at gunpoint and complained about taxes and his wife being fired before shooting from short range while the superintendent begged "please don't." No bullets hit the superintendent before a security guard shot the gunman, who killed himself.

The school board members dove behind their desks as Clay A. Duke fired and then fell to the floor, apparently hit by the guard. Duke had earlier told everyone in the room to leave except the men on the board.

"God was standing in front of me and I will go to my grave believing that," Bay District Schools Superintendent Bill Husfelt said later.

Duke's motivation was murky. He rambled to the board about tax increases and his wife, but also apparently created a Facebook page last week that refers to class warfare and is laced with images from the movie "V for Vendetta," in which a mysterious figure battles a totalitarian government.

"We could tell by the look in his eyes that this wasn't going to end well," Husfelt told The Associated Press.

Will.I.Am Is Pissed About The New Michael Album

I don't blame him!!! This album is nothing more than a ploy to cash in on Michael. I mean even Michael Himself would not have put this shit out.
